To use our Einfach Elterngeld software you need an internet connection and a current browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome).

Privacy at a glance

When you order, we create a customer account for you. The key facts about your data:

Controller: Einfach Elterngeld GmbH, Pennricher Straße 31, 01157 Dresden, Germany. You stay in control: access, data export, rectification, erasure and withdrawal of consent at any time – in your customer area under “Privacy & data security” or by e-mail to datenschutz@einfach-elterngeld.de.
Which data and why: name, e-mail address and password for your account; order and payment data for the contract and invoice; later your entries in the calculator and applications (e.g. income, child, bank details) so that we can calculate parental allowance and fill in your applications.
Who receives the data: our host IONOS (servers in Germany), for payment the provider you choose (Stripe, Klarna or PayPal) and our tax adviser (invoice data only). We do not transmit application data to authorities – you submit your applications yourself.

More about your data

Health and church tax details (e.g. maternity protection, illness, a child’s disability) are only processed with your separate consent, which we ask for beforehand.
How long: application data according to your choice in your account (default 12 months after the applications were created); we then delete them automatically. We keep consultation documents for at least 3 years after the consultation ended and delete them after that following a review. We must keep invoices for 8 years (tax law).
Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), statutory retention (point (c)), for health details your consent (Art. 9(2)(a)). Without these details we cannot perform the contract.
Security: encrypted transmission, encrypted storage of particularly sensitive fields, sign-in with a second factor.

All details in our privacy policy. Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection and complaint to a supervisory authority.

What happens after you buy?

Start straight away – your account is set up as soon as payment is complete. To sign in, we send you a confirmation code by e-mail.
Calculate and add your details – we transfer your entries from the free calculator if you order now in the same browser. You complete the rest in the extended calculator and the application details – with draft saving.
Application as a PDF – the software fills in the official form. You print it, sign it and send it to your parental allowance office. The child benefit application and the parental leave e-mail are included.

Paperless too: at participating parental allowance offices, the software guides you step by step through submitting electronically with a qualified electronic signature (QES) – at no extra charge in the software. You create the signature yourself with a signature provider using your online ID.
